Romano Mattioli is a determined man, with a strong attachment to his land and its traditions. In 2004 he planted the first vines with the precise idea of being able to finally follow what he had learned as a boy from his father Arturo: he planted them exactly where the family history linked to the land had started a few decades earlier, in Guiglia.
The vineyards are located at about 500 meters high and for this reason enjoy thermal excursions and constant breezes, thanks to the precious influence of the Panaro river. The idea that has guided Romano from the first steps is to make authentic, ancient wines that retrace the traditions without compromise and without shortcuts: in three words traditional ancestral method.

Philosophy
The TerraQuilia Winery is located in the municipality of Guiglia (MO), inserted in an uncontaminated natural context. At about 500 meters above sea level the vineyards and the cellar are cared for with respect for tradition, linked to the slow and thoughtful rhythms of nature.
Our philosophy is to work in the most natural way possible, not to add yeasts or sugars, not to filter, to contain the total sulfur levels under 40 mgl. Our wines produced in the BIO-VEGAN regime are all rigorously refermented in the bottle with our ANCESTRAL METHOD. These are live, rich products, characterized by marked acidity and flavor, with intense aromas, with a complex organoleptic profile. We offer a pure and authentic wine, refined and natural, just like our land.
