Founded in 2018, Strade Bianche Wines is an importer of Italian natural wines, specializing in small-production, terroir-driven selections. We work with a mix of established artisans and a new generation of Italian winemakers—passionate producers who bring fresh energy to traditional, low-intervention winemaking. Currently, we partner with distributors in 12 states and operate as both an importer and distributor in Oregon and Washington, bringing these authentic, character-driven wines to the U.S. market.
Our philosophy
We are not wine ideologues—our philosophy is simple. We love really good wine, and we believe the best wines are real wines, crafted by farmers who work with intention in both the vineyard and the cellar. The producers we partner with are family-run operations, tending to their vines, handpicking their grapes, and personally overseeing the winemaking process. Each bottle tells a story—a story of the people who pour their passion into every harvest and of the land that has nurtured these grape varietals for centuries.
Strade Bianche Wines was founded out of a deep passion for these producers—artisans who may not have well-known brands or big marketing budgets but who make extraordinary wines that we genuinely want to drink.
We are also strong advocates for organic and biodynamic farming, as well as winemaking without manipulation or unnecessary additives. In Italy, this is not a radical approach; it’s simply the way many small, family farmers have always worked. Because they live on the land and drink their own wines, they have a deep commitment to keeping their vineyards vibrant, their soils healthy, and their wines clean and expressive.
Our story
Strade Bianche Wines was founded by three friends. Jeremy and Bobby have been friends since elementary school in Tualatin, Oregon. Andrea and Bobby became friends while Bobby was living in Montepulciano with his family. Strade Bianche Wines grew organically around friendship and a shared passion for high quality, small-production Italian wine.
Basically, the three of us are wine geeks. We love trying new wines and finding small or new producers in each town that the locals are drinking and talking about. In Montepulciano, Andrea's lifelong hometown, there was one small, up-and-coming winery that was on the majority of local tables because it was delicious. Importing these wines became the vision that brought this company to life. When the three of us made this a reality, we soon realized that every town or city in Italy has a small gem of a winery that might only be known to the locals in that area.
